So right off the bat, I know that an Italian soda isn’t really a Tiki drink. However, depending on what syrup you use, it totally could be! There isn’t any alcohol in an Italian soda, so this would be great for non-drinkers or even kids. This is a really simple drink to make and it tastes better than you can imagine! Let’s begin…
You only need three ingredients to make a Italian Soda. Heavy whipping cream, club soda, and sugar-free syrup.
Step 1. Fill up a glass (or Tiki mug) with ice and about a 1/2 ounce of a sugar-free syrup of your choice. You can find syrups at pretty much any supermarket. They’re usually displayed near the coffee. Just look for “sugar-free” on the bottle. I’m using black cherry for my drink here, but to make your Italian soda more “Tiki,” you can use passion fruit, mango, or pineapple. Be creative!
Step 2. Fill up the glass or mug with club soda. Leave enough room to add about an ounce of cream. Make sure the club soda is fresh and has carbonation. The drink won’t be the same if it isn’t.
Step 3. Add about an ounce of heavy whipping cream and stir everything together.
And there you go! Ready to drink and enjoy.
One last thing, I want to say thanks to my good buddy Yovany for turning me onto this simple yet tasty drink! This is Yovany helping out at The Tiki Christmas party…
