John Mumford has been into the Tiki since he was in middle school. His parents actually let him build his own Tiki bar in the furnace room. Those are some cool parents! Fast-forward to 2009. Home Tiki Bar Spotlight #27 The Bungalow Seattle, WA

The Bungalow Seattle WA

In 2007, Sarah and Robb met for the first time in Austin, Texas and started dating.

In 2009, Sarah moved up to Seattle to be with Robb, full-time.

In 2014, Robb proposed to Sarah on top of the Fairmount Hotel. She said yes!

That was July. They celebrated by drinking Tiki drinks at The Tonga Room!

In October of 2014, they moved into a beautiful bungalow in Ballard and created a perfect Mid-Century home.

Then they decided they needed a Tiki bar, so they turned their porch into the Bungalow.

More importantly, Sarah and Robb got married in 2016! I will let Robb fill in the blanks below…

I remember reading a book from Chuck Palahniuk called Diary. The main point of the story is that everything about you is a diary. Everything is a “tell.” How you act, the way you dress, the type of music you listen to, etc. Even your furniture choices show your personality.

What makes every home Tiki bar special and unique is that the space was created and designed by the owner and no one else! As the old saying goes, “You can’t judge a book by its cover,” but you can learn a lot about someone through their Tiki bar!
