There’s other things you can do at a tiki bar besides just drink …
Damon’s Steak House had been around since 1937 and was moved to its present location in 1980. I had to do some research to find out about the change of location but if you told me that this place was around since the 30’s, I’d believe you!
Damon’s is truly stunning and big! This is the main dining area …
I love this large aquarium …
And don’t forget to look up to see this awesome outrigger …
Here’s the bar which is located in the back …
Along the walls you’ll find these beautiful Bettina Byrne murals …
Here is a little information about the murals from Damon’s website: The stunning Bettina Byrne murals replicate Eugene Savage’s seductive Deco-era artwork originally commissioned by South Seas luxury-liner Matson for the S.S. Lurline, the crown jewel of the “white ship” fleet in the Golden Age of high-style Hawaiian tourism, and capture the allure of Old Hawai’i embodying the spirit of aloha.
Let’s take a look at the menu …
If you like meat, you came to the right place! Speaking of meat, I love pastrami and when I saw the deli-style pastrami sandwich on the menu, I knew I had to order one, and this sandwich did not disappoint! Look at those slices of pastrami, they’re huge!
Along with the sandwich came a cup of beef stew which was very hearty and delicious.

I went with the Macadamia Nut Chi Chi.
I’m not going to lie; the drink was just okay. Even though my drink was nothing to brag about, my food totally was and the service at Damon’s was top-notch. Damon’s is a classy place. I would totally take a date here! I see it as more of a classic tropical style restaurant than a tiki bar. I love my tiki drinks, but sometimes you’ve got to eat … and if you’ve got to eat, you should make it Damon’s Steakhouse!
