Seattle doesn’t have many Tiki bars, but there are some bars in the city that host Tiki nights. Tuesday is Tiki night at the Diller Room and Essex, both which I highly recommend.
The Burgundian took things one step further by hosting a Tiki Week!
The Burgundian is located in the small neighborhood of Tangletown. Some of you old school Seattle Tiki folks might remember when this location was Luau.
I was pleasantly surprised to see the entire bar was Tiki-fied! The Burgundian decorated the entire bar with thatch…
And palm trees…
It was really cool seeing the bartenders and servers showing some Tiki spirit!
Taking a seat I looked over the drink menu…
That’s a nice selection of classics and original Tiki cocktails.
I went with one of my favorites, a Three Dots And A Dash…
What can I say? The drink was superb!
I got to say thank you to my old buddy Dan for giving me a heads-up about Tiki Week. Dan went with the Tradewinds and whatever his date was having!
I was in the mood for something with Campari, so my next drink was a Jungle Bird…
Yep, these two drinks set me straight. Both were great and I have to say folks, it was all bittersweet. Why? I just wish the Burgundian would leave the Tiki décor up! I guess I’ll just have to wait ’til next year!
